FAQ – Elevated Wellness Retreat

Everything you need to know

Questions about the retreat, accommodations, and getting to Baja — answered.

The Retreat
This retreat is genuinely for all levels — you don't need any yoga experience, any surfing experience, or any particular level of fitness, you just need to be ready to show up for yourself and invest in your own growth, healing, and reconnection.
Surfing is completely optional — if you want to try it, amazing, and if you'd rather spend that time by the ocean, on the grounds, or in your own practice, that's equally valid and there is no pressure either way.
Days are designed to balance structure with spaciousness — you can expect morning movement and breathwork, meals together as a community, surf sessions, yoga, mindset or holistic healing practices, and plenty of downtime to rest, walk the beach, and just breathe.
Throughout the retreat you'll experience yoga, breathwork, movement, mindset work, and holistic healing practices — and Yandara also offers access to masseuses, body workers, energy healers, and astrology readings at an additional cost if you'd like to add those on.
Accommodations & Inclusions
There are four options depending on your preference and budget:

Glamping Cabana with ensuite (solo) — $2,555 USD — 4 available
Hobbit Hut with ensuite — $2,222 USD — 2 available
Glamping Cabana without ensuite — $2,222 USD — 1 available
Canvas Glamping Tent — $1,888 USD — 6 available

All accommodations come with quality linens, eco-luxury decor, electricity, storage, and a mid-week linen refresh, and shared bathroom facilities are conveniently located for those without a private ensuite.
Your rate covers accommodations, three meals per day, fresh and dried fruit snacks, tea, coffee, drinking water, full use of the pool and grounds, and all retreat programming — so once you arrive, you can genuinely just be present without thinking about logistics.
WiFi is available in communal areas — though this retreat is designed to help you unplug, so you'll probably find yourself reaching for it a lot less than you think.
Subject to availability, Yandara can accommodate guests before and/or after the retreat — just let us know you're interested and reach out to [email protected] for pricing and to check availability.
Getting There
Fly into Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) — it's about an hour's drive from Yandara on a dedicated toll road, and we arrange roundtrip airport shuttles so the transfer is completely taken care of.
Roundtrip shuttles are arranged at $45 per person each way for flights arriving between 11am and 5pm on arrival day and departing between 1pm and 5pm — flights outside those windows have different rates, so once you've booked your flight, send us your itinerary and we'll sort everything out for you.
Yandara sits right on the Pacific Coast of Baja California Sur, between the artist town of Todos Santos (20 minutes north) and Cabo San Lucas (45 minutes south) — it's one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in Mexico and the energy of the place is something you have to experience to understand.
Yes — you need a valid passport to travel to Mexico, and it's a good idea to keep a copy with you when you're off the retreat grounds, no vaccinations are required to enter Mexico, and travel insurance including medical coverage is strongly recommended.
Policies & Practical Info
Yandara has a strict no alcohol, no drugs, and no smoking policy on the premises — this includes psychedelic substances and plant medicine ceremonies, and guests who don't comply may be asked to leave without a refund, so this is something to be aware of before you book.
The confirmation deposit is non-refundable, and other deposits and payments may be refundable or credited depending on the timing of your cancellation — the full policy will be outlined in your contract so you'll have complete clarity before committing.
Check-in is from 3pm, and if you arrive earlier you're welcome to relax by the pool and explore the grounds while your room is prepared — check-out is by 10am on departure day, and you're welcome to stay on the property until you need to leave, with lunch available for $10 per person if you'd like it.
Yoga clothes, a swimsuit, casual loungewear, a sweater for cooler evenings (especially November through May), sunhat, flip flops, sunscreen, mosquito repellant, a flashlight, your own toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste — hand soap is provided), a reusable water bottle, and any medications you need — yoga mats and props are provided but you're welcome to bring your own mat if you have a favourite.
Baja California Sur is warm, dry, and sunny almost year-round with almost no rain outside August and September — because Yandara is on the Pacific coast the temperature stays very comfortable for most of the year, though evenings from December through May can be cool so a light layer is worth packing.
